Carr Fles Planetarium

Kids can learn about stars, planets, constellations, etc. 
Shows are only 35 minutes long,
so no worrying about antsy kids!
Age Range: 4 -Adult
Hours: 7pm Tuesdays & Thursdays.
(September through May)
CostFREE - Open to the public!
**Many signs are put up to point you in the right direction, once you get in the school.  It's very easy to find. 

 

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park

Fun for the whole family.  There is surprisingly, a lot for kids to do!  Different climates & their different plant life are showcased in seperate greenhouse area's in the main building.  Outside, there is a Children's Garden, which has an Alice in Wonderland feel, a labyrinth, waterfall, beautiful flowers, & trails, etc.  At select times, a butterfly exhibit
is available to view. 
25 minute drive from Muskegon.

Lewis' Farm Market & Petting Zoo

Corn maze, apple orchard, pumpkin patch, petting farm, farmer's market, moon walk, & more!

Our kids have a blast every time they go.  It's about a 20 minute drive from Muskegon (mostly highway) but well worth it!  Very inexpensive and there is a ton of stuff to see & do. 

Age Range: 0-Adult
Hours: Monday thru Saturday 9am-6pm
Sunday 10am-5pm
(Extended hours after September 23)
Cost: $2/person
*Children under 12 months are FREE.
*Some additional activities (potato canon, jumping pillows, gem mining...) are available for an additional cost of $1-$5. 

**TIP:  Bring some change.  You can buy a bag of feed for $5 or there are dispensers that cost $0.25 for a hand full.
